Brighton and Irondequoit Town Boards proclaim Pride Week; Irondequoit for first time ever

The Town Boards of Rochester suburbs Brighton and Irondequoit released proclamations, July 11th and 17th, respectively, announcing Pride Week in support of Rochester Pride 2018.

Brighton Town Supervisor William Moehle, also on hand at Monday’s Opening Ceremonies at City Hall, addressed the Town Board meeting Wednesday, July 11 to proclaim July 14-22 as Pride Week. Jeff Myers, Out Alliance Interim Executive Director, was on hand to receive the proclamation from the Board and say a few words.

Irondequoit Town Supervisor Dave Seeley tweeted on Tuesday, July 17 that “I’m proud to say that, for the first time, the Town of has officially recognized Pride Week. The Town Board is happy to support the community’s efforts to promote equality for all citizens”, attaching a photo of the proclamation.
