A gay-identified clinician, Sean P. Murphy, PhD, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with training and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across practice settings, from hospitals to outpatient clinics. His education includes a Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specialization, from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Doctorate in Literature, Cultural Theory and Social Practice, with a focus on psychoanalytic theory, from Kent State University. Dr. Murphy brings to clinic a humanistic philosophy of holistic care for both mind and body, and an abiding commitment to individualized, personalized, comprehensive care for patients.
