Join us as we share our Community’s abundance with others by participating in the Community Cares Food Alliance.  Inspired by a vision of helping those needing support during the Pandemic, the Out Alliance will become a hub for food distribution in January 2021.

How Can I Participate ?

Volunteer to Unload, Pack and Distribute Food … Donate Nonperishable Food…Or Just Get The Word Out!

How Does It Work?

If you find yourself in need of food assistance, contact our Food Program Coordinator, Selvia Hanna,  by using the contact form at www.outalliance.org/about-2/contactYou may come to the center to pick up a food donation box on Saturday, or by appointment.  If transportation to the Community Center is an issue for you, arrangements may be made in certain circumstances to have a Volunteer deliver a food donation box to your home.  You can expect to receive a variety of food items including rice, pasta, bread, dried beans, and canned goods as well as paper supplies.   We look to you to help us learn what is most needed by the Community as we meet you each week.   We need and want your feedback to help improve the program.

How Can I Donate My Time or Contribute Food Items?

Contact Selvia Hanna at www.outalliance.org/about-2/contact and let her know how you would like to be involved.  In February, a collection box will be placed inside the 100 College Street entrance to the Community Center.  Hours when the entrance will be open for food drop off, will be announced soon on Facebook, in addition to what nonperishable foods are most needed by our friends and neighbors.

How Is This Program Possible?

In the Spring of 2020, the Out Alliance received generous donations from over 50 Community members designated expressly for this purpose.  We wish to acknowledge them for their compassion and generosity as the Pandemic continues through the Winter of 2021.
