Our volunteers are critical to everything the Out Alliance does. There are two categories of volunteers:

Office Volunteers: These are the 10 volunteers who cover our front desk and main phone line Mondays-Fridays all year round. Each of them works a three-hour shift weekly. They help with the basics of keeping an office running, from printing certificates to stuffing envelopes. The Office Volunteers also double as staff in the David Bohnett Cyber Center.

General Volunteers: We have over eight-hundred people on our General Volunteer list! Those are members of the community who want to be kept in the loop about Out Alliance events, programs, etc and are willing to lend a hand. Their work includes anything from helping set up and tear down an event or two each year to collaborating on a long-term project like a grant proposal. Some of our General Volunteers are able to “table-sit” and represent the Out Alliance at health fairs and other events.
