Laverne Cox and Caitlyn Jenner are calling on South Dakota Gov Dennis Daugaard to veto a bill banning transgender schoolchildren from using bathrooms that do not correspond with their ‘biological sex.’

Cox called on her Instagram followers to sign a petition urging Daugaard to veto the bill, which she said ‘ostracizes trans students and targets them for even more harassment and bullying.’
‘We should be creating safer, nurturing environments for our children not more hostile ones,’ she added.
